Referral of material to CMC

The Chairman of Queensland Racing Limited Mr Bob Bentley today confirmed that he was aware that the Government had referred material relating to the recent vote to amend the constitution of QRL to the Crime and Misconduct Commission for consideration.

The referral is following a complaint to the Treasurer and Racing Minister the Honourable Andrew Fraser by Mr Bill Carter.

Whilst it would be inappropriate to comment on the matter at this stage, Mr Bentley outlined that the Board of QRL would cooperate fully with the CMC if it deemed it necessary to investigate Mr Carter’s allegations.
